The Winter Fuel Payment is a single, tax-free payment in the UK that assists pensioners eligible for the scheme in meeting extra costs during the winter period of keeping their homes warm.
Winter Fuel Payment For Pensioners
The WFP is considered to be a source of financial help, directed at supporting older people to pay for the additional fuel costs at times when all of them need more fuel to keep warm.
All of these are one-time, tax-free payable to households that contain or consist of one or more recipients of the State Pension or more. It is that it makes it easier for those who are above State Pension age to afford to heat their homes through winter.
The amount paid can vary between £200 and £300. It will be paid automatically to most eligible claimants from November to December every year.
