When can I file my taxes for 2025?

IRS initiative to avoid Tax Refund delay
IRS has always strived to make the system better, this year also, the agency has introduced IP PIN, an effort to avoid delays in tax refunds. According to the IRS, people who are filing tax returns with duplicate dependent returns like last year can generate this Identity Protection Personal Identification Number (IP PIN) and file their return using the IP PIN.
This IP PIN will help the agency identify and review the return while saving time and the agency can issue the tax refund without wasting any time. The tool also ensures the protection of the taxpayer’s financial and personal information.
Taxpayers can expect the 2025 tax season at the beginning of the New Year, it can either fall in mid-Jan or end of Jan 2025, so taxpayers should begin their preparation.
